To take a tile discarded by an opponent, you must use that tile in a valid combination. You can arrange the combination and take the missing tile from the box above your board, then add the missing tile to the combination, and your hand will automatically open. IMPORTANT! You cannot take a discarded tile from another player if it cannot be used in a valid combination.
